Does anyone still have interest in Japanese Multiple Master Typefase?

  2. Dan Reynolds

Multiple Master? Sure. Type designers use MM all the time during the design process (there is even LettError’s new tool, Superpolator 2, which takes the idea of working with axes to a new level).

There is not a lot of application support for MM fonts anymore, at least as far as western versions of software is concerned. Do the Japanese versions of Illustrator, InDesign, Quark XPress, etc. support MM features?

Thank you for your link to Superpolator 2. Given a good quality CJK font, it is possible to create the 8 master, 3 axes like that of Superlator.

By the way, is Otmar Hoefer still working at Linotype? Please give him my regards.

  4. Dan Reynolds

    Yes, he does.
