The boys behind the up-and-coming type/design podcast Read Between the Leading interview TypeTogether in their newest recording (epsiode 21). TypeTogether is run by Vik Burian and José Scaglione, two of the Reading MA type design course’s most articulate graduates. In fact, as they mention in the interview, TypeTogether has become something of a Reading-foundry, distributing typefaces designed by Eduardo Berliner, Bart Blubaugh, David Březina, Pilar Cano, Tom Grace, and Nicolien van der Keur.

In the podcast, Vik and José talk about working together across vast geographic distances, how they make test prints of their work-in-progress, and about Typekit. TypeTogether is an early Typekit-supporter, and at least three of their typefaces are available for web embedding via the service, including David Březina’s Skolar family.

The Read Between the Leading podcast is a regular undertaking of Aaron Heth and Matt McInerney. They both study on a grad program at Savannah College of Art & Design. I was hoping that they would drive up to TypeCon 2009, since it was held in Atlanta earlier this month. Sadly, I did not see them there.
